In the morning, Colfax was awakened by the world around him shifting. He blinked sluggishly and realized that it hadn't been the world; Sawyer had just rolled over, still holding the viri cradled in his hands. Colfax took a deep breath, the kind one took when waking up sooner than expected but determined to stay that way despite the sleepiness. He glanced around with slowly adjusting eyes until something caught his attention and held it.

Sawyer's phone lay on the nightstand, unattended. Suddenly, Colfax remembered something he'd planned what seemed like an age ago. If there was ever a time for mischief, this was it.

He moved as slowly as he could, working his way out of Sawyer's hands without alerting the human to his movements. Thankfully, he eventually managed to fall to the mattress without being dragged into a tighter hug like before; he walked cautiously but with purpose, glad that his usual skill for stealth hadn't been lost since he first got caught in that supply closet. A simple leap got him to the nightstand. Colfax picked up the bulky device, weighing it experimentally under one arm; it was critical that he be able to carry it without difficulty, after all.

He wasn't sure where he'd left his bag, but the blanket hanging over the side of the bed provided a workable way to climb to the floor, even with the phone under his arm. Colfax made no sound, absolutely determined for this to work. Even when he made it to the vent near the bed, he moved slowly and carefully, dragging the phone in behind him. There was a smirk on his face as he set it down just inside the grate and opened up the main screen.

Colfax almost worried he hadn't given himself enough time; but, the alarm he'd set on the phone didn't go off before he settled himself on the nightstand to see Sawyer's reaction. He'd turned up the volume a bit for good measure, so that it'd echo in the vent without giving a clear indication of where the phone was. Any minute now...

Sawyer awoke to the screeching alarm of his phone, sounding louder than normal. Groaning, he reached over and fumbled for it on the nightstand, picking up the only thing there and bringing it to his face. Much to his consternation it was only a very peeved-looking Colfax, and not his phone. “What the hell?” he mumbled, sitting up with Colfax still in hand and looking around for his phone. That alarm was more piercing than he remembered, and he couldn’t recall turning it on. Why it was going off, or even where his phone was for that matter, he couldn’t fathom. Blinking slowly and trying to wake up, he swung his legs over the side of the bed and peered under it, looking for his phone. He was still out of it enough that he hadn’t thought to put Colfax down yet despite the little guy’s squirming.

Of course, of course things would backfire like this. Colfax squirmed in Sawyer's grip with a scowl, waiting for the tired human to catch up and realize it. Unless he already realized and just didn't care, which was also a distinct possibility. At least the prank had worked; Sawyer looked very confused. If Colfax wasn't stuck in his hand he might actually enjoy the look on the huge face.

In hindsight, he really should have seen it coming. He'd settled down where the phone used to be like an idiot. Sawyer's hand had rushed at him far too quickly to avoid, considering it was an automatic action and the human didn't know he was there. "Sawyer, put me down!"

Sawyer didn’t heed Colfax’s words quite yet, thinking that finding his phone and shutting off that alarm was the priority. Standing up, he brought the hand holding Colfax up near his chest while he glanced around, only really doing so to make sure the viri stayed upright. “Where the hell is it?” he muttered, turning around in a circle as he examined the floor. It wasn’t anywhere to be found. The alarm even sounded weird, a bit more echoic than usual, and he couldn’t really tell where it was coming from.

“Sawyer?” Sawyer started in surprise and whirled around, seeing a pajama-clad Charlie standing in the doorway rubbing his eyes tiredly. The smaller human squinted at them, taking in the sight of Sawyer standing in the middle of the room with Colfax in his hand, turning around in circles, before sighing tiredly. “Can’t you shut that thing off?”

“I can if I can find it,” Sawyer replied. He took a few steps over and handed Colfax off to Charlie, who looked rather startled as the viri was thrust into his hands, before kneeling down on the floor and looking under the bed. “I don’t know where the hell it could have gone.”

Colfax was a bit dizzy from Sawyer's turning this way and that to find the hidden phone. It was actually something of a relief to be deposited in Charlie's hands, even if it was a bit of an unceremonious transition. He was used to that at least. As he sat up and turned to watch Sawyer look, a smirk finally returned to his face. That confusion was exactly what he was going for, after all, and Colfax felt he'd succeeded quite handily. He managed to rein in any chuckles that might have escaped, but the amusement remained on his face along with a smug satisfaction that his prank had mostly worked.

Charlie stayed perfectly still as Colfax sat up in his hands, not wanting to disturb the viri or get in Sawyer’s way. He winced lightly- the constant alarm was beginning to give him a headache. He hoped it hadn’t woken Adrian up, but at this point it likely had. “Do you remember where you last put it?” he asked Sawyer, a bit of uncharacteristic irritation slipping into his voice despite himself.

“Yeah, on the nightstand!” Sawyer’s voice came through a bit muffled, seeing as he was currently elbow-deep in his closet looking for it. Stepping back he looked up and around with a huff, though he doubted it would be on the ceiling. “I honestly don’t know where it went. Can you even tell where it’s coming from?” He and Charlie both paused, staring into space as they tried to pinpoint the sound. After a few moments Charlie tilted his head to the side and turned slightly, looking critically at the side of the room Sawyer’s bed and nightstand was resting against.

Colfax snickered faintly, way too proud of himself for how confused the humans had both become. He stopped quickly, but could only assume he'd been heard. He looked at the wall critically as well, the smirk still in his eyes. Really, it was only a matter of time before they figured him out, so he saw no harm in speaking up. "It's almost like it's coming from inside the wall, isn't it?" he mused.

At his cheeky assertion both humans stared at him, Charlie looking surprised and Sawyer's confused expression quickly deadpanning into a dry one akin to Colfax's usual. "You little shit," Sawyer muttered. Walking over he crouched down near the wall and peered into the vent, spotting his lit up phone screen inside. A laugh bubbled out of him- trust Colfax to come up with something like this. He was almost impressed; he was definitely amused.

With a look of concentration on his face he tried to slide his fingers through the vent and grab his phone, but it was a hopeless endeavor. "Charlie, bring him over here," Sawyer requested, glancing up at his friend and speaking louder to be heard over the continuous alarm. "I need the little prankster to get the phone out." Charlie hesitated a moment, looking down at Colfax before stepping towards Sawyer. He gracefully knelt to the floor and let Colfax step off- the viri could decide his own fate from there. Still, Charlie couldn't help the faint smile on his face; as far as revenge pranks went this one had been pretty good, especially for a viri.

Colfax thought maybe he'd underestimated the volume he'd set the phone to. It was loud this close to it; but with a smirk, he reminded himself that that was the point. He squeezed into the vent hastily and slapped a hand down on the screen to dismiss the alarm. The cacophony still rang in his ears, but he at least hadn't gone and made himself deaf. He breathed a sigh of relief. He'd succeeded pretty handily, and even as he hoisted up the phone and pushed it back out of the wall, he had a smirk lighting his eyes.

"I did tell you I'd get you back," Colfax reminded Sawyer as he followed the phone out into the open.

There was a sigh of relief from the humans as the loud alarm stopped, allowing an almost ringing silence to fill the room in its stead. Charlie rubbed his ears gratefully as Sawyer smirked down at Colfax. “Yes, you did,” he agreed. He had remembered- he just hadn’t expected something like this. He had to hand it to the little guy, it was creative; but that didn’t mean it was going to pass by without repercussions of its own.

Reaching down, he picked up his phone in one hand and Colfax in the other, standing up and setting his phone on the nightstand so that he could cup both hands under Colfax like usual. Sawyer poked him in the side and said, “But you woke everybody up, that’s not very nice of you.” With a grin he brushed his thumb along Colfax’s side, knowing it would tickle, or at least make the viri squirm and get that smug look off his face.

Sawyer was absolutely right. Colfax's lips thinned to a line and he squirmed away from the contact to avoid getting into another round of tickling. If Sawyer did that while Charlie was watching, he might just find a way to smack the human's forehead. As it was, he felt his face heat up a little bit from his reaction, knowing they'd both seen it. Figures he couldn't just have his victory. "All according to plan. I have a witness now to my win here." He managed to sound quite self-assured, though he glanced at Sawyer's thumb once, ready to have to dodge away from it again.

Charlie chuckled appreciatively at that and said, “Yes, indeed you do.” It amused him that Colfax would phrase it as a win; those two were so competitive with each other. “Come on,” he said. Stepping up to Sawyer he tugged on his friend’s arm, both to get him to move and to distract him from what would have inevitably become a full-on poke attack against poor Colfax. “We should go say good morning to Adrian, I’m sure he’s wondering what’s going on, what with the ruckus you two were causing.” Sawyer laughed a bit but followed him, still carrying Colfax as the three of them went back out into the living room.

Adrian was waiting with an upturned expression of curiosity. He glanced between the two humans, wondering what on earth had happened. All he knew was that a loud alarm sound had gone off, drawing Charlie and himself out of sleep as it persisted. Then Charlie left to investigate, so by this point Adrian was just dying to know what had happened. "What's going on? Did something break?" he asked curiously.

Sawyer chuckled, taking a seat by the couch and letting Colfax hop off onto the floor near Adrian. Charlie knelt nearby with a small smile on his face. “Well, this guy,” Sawyer said, reaching over and poking Colfax in the side, “decided to prank me.” It was still so entertaining that the viri would even try, much less succeed so well, and a grin crossed his face. “He stole my phone, put the alarm on high, and stuck it in a vent.” Charlie giggled and Sawyer looked at Adrian with an amused smile. “So if you woke up to that, it’s his fault.”

Adrian glanced over to Colfax for confirmation. The taller viri had stumbled from Sawyer's poke, surprised by it, and was now absently rubbing his side. Then he met Adrian's curious gaze, and there was a smug smirk in his eyes and just barely turning up the corners of his mouth. Adrian slapped his hand over his face with a chuckle. "Oh my God, Colfax, really? Why?" he asked through his laughter.

"Just because it's been a while doesn't mean I forgot about my promise to get back at him," Colfax answered easily. He crossed his arms, still looking rather proud of himself. After all, he'd pranked a human so well that even the victim of his mischief admitted it was a good one. That was a thing to be proud of.

Adrian grinned and shook his head. "You mean for accidentally dropping you in the dishwater, right?" Colfax just nodded, naturally not fazed by Adrian's emphasis.

“That’s right!” Sawyer exclaimed, almost sounding aghast. “It was an accident!” To be honest he had very nearly forgotten that it was. It just seemed like something that had happened now, and given his usual behavior he had settled into the assumption that he probably deserved for Colfax to get back at him for something; which likely he still did, though not necessarily for that particular incident. Pouting dramatically now he reached down and tugged on the back of Colfax’s shirt. “That means I should get back at you for this prank sometime, because it wasn’t fair.”

Charlie scoffed. “Oh yes, that certainly makes sense.” Sawyer gave him a dry look and Charlie smiled sheepishly in return. The expression turned a bit pitying as he settled on Colfax. “Sorry, Colfax,” Charlie said plainly. “I think you started something.” If those two got in a full-on prank war over something stupid like this… well, Charlie might actually move out of the apartment, and take poor Adrian with him before he was used as collateral.

Colfax rolled his eyes and squirmed, trying to free his shirt from Sawyer's teasing grip. It was a little difficult but he did manage, to amused smirks from Adrian. Even that didn't dampen Colfax's sense of pride over this one. Perhaps he was milking it, but he would probably be pleased with himself for some time. After all, his opportunities to best Sawyer in such things were few and far between. "I didn't start anything, but I'll finish it," he asserted with the kind of calm confidence that suited him to a T.

Adrian was impressed. He glanced up at Charlie, sending a look that was both bemused and exasperated. These two, he seemed to say. While Colfax patted down his shirt to fix his appearance, Adrian glanced up at Sawyer next. "Well, we all found out what he was going to do... What will you do in return, Sawyer? Should we worry?" he asked with a grin.

“Oh, you two won’t have to worry,” Sawyer promised. There was no doubt who he meant by "two". He grinned and nudged Colfax in the side again. “But I ain’t gonna tell ya, because this guy’s gotta find out for himself.” He was having way too much fun teasing Colfax and Charlie rolled his eyes. Obviously those two weren’t going to let it go anytime soon. Perhaps it was for the best; it kept them both busy and entertained at least.

Charlie exhaled slightly and looked down at Adrian with a wry smile, giving the viri much the same type of glance Adrian had given the human earlier. “Adrian, would you like to join me in being a civilized person and have some breakfast?” he offered. This earned him a scoff from Sawyer, who reached over and tickled Charlie in the side. Charlie immediately squirmed away and attempted to give Sawyer a polite glare, which of course only resulted in Sawyer trying and failing not to laugh at him, and with a huff turned an expectant gaze back to Adrian.

Adrian's eyebrows shot up at the sight of Charlie getting tickled, but he recovered soon enough and nodded. "Yeah, let me just..." he trailed off as he started the familiar routine of getting himself ready to be carried. It was interesting how he'd gotten used to it, when the first time he tried traveling that way he'd hardly been able to keep his eyes open. Now it was both convenient for the humans and it met his personal comfort requirements. "Breakfast sounds good. And I know it might be a little soon but I'd like to check and see if there's an answer to our email, too."

Colfax rolled his eyes, thinking it'd be pretty fortuitous if someone managed to get their message that quickly. Unless someone was looking right at a phone when Adrian pressed send. He moved on fairly quickly, considering now he had to be more aware of potential pokes from Sawyer. With his bruises healing up, Colfax realized that with better health would come more teasing.

“Here, you can take the phone then,” Sawyer said, handing his cell phone over to Charlie. After all, they had sent it from his email, so they would need his phone to check it. “We’ll be right behind you.” Charlie nodded and slipped the phone into his pocket before asking Adrian if he was ready and carefully picking him up.

Sawyer watched the two go into the kitchen before turning back to Colfax. A brief flash of concern shot over his face. “Hey. You feeling alright? I’m not hurting anything am I?” Though Sawyer was certainly not repentant for his teasing, he would be if he had ended up bothering some of Colfax’s lingering bruises. What with Colfax's mischief that morning it was easy to forget that he had just come out of a long healing process, but Sawyer was trying to keep it in mind.

It was Colfax's turn to adopt a surprised expression, although naturally his was far more subdued than Adrian's. He reined it in quickly and shook his head briefly. "You haven't hurt anything," he assured the human, knowing that in this instance drawing out his answer wouldn't be very amusing to Sawyer. In truth, what remaining bruises he had were either not bothering him or were sore regardless of whether they were being touched. "Only real problem is my shoulder still," he admitted. Climbing down from the bed and then back up to the nightstand had certainly told him that much, but even that was worth it.

“Right,” Sawyer said, somewhat relieved to hear it. Though he did realize that the little guy must have been climbing a lot to achieve his prank, and thereby irritating his shoulder even more. That wouldn’t be good. “Well, no more climbing for you today then,” the human determined, reaching over to scoop Colfax up. “Come on. Let’s go see what the others are up to.”

Sawyer stood and walked the short ways into the kitchen, taking a seat at the table before almost reluctantly putting Colfax down on it. Charlie was already busy making breakfast, and even as they sat down small plates of toast and fruit were deposited in front of them. Adrian was already in possession of the phone- Sawyer didn’t think he’d ever tire of watching the viri navigate the touch screens with what seemed like their entire bodies. It was surreal.

Colfax almost rolled his eyes at Sawyer's determined statement. It wasn't as though he'd have done much climbing with the human awake, after all. Colfax didn't even have his bag with him; it was probably on the coffee table. He helped himself to a piece of fruit and sat down on the table, watching Adrian operate the phone. Adrian had a cap of water beside him, looking like it hadn't even been touched yet.

"Oh, they... there's an answer already!" he exclaimed, looking as surprised as Colfax felt. No doubt about it- someone back home had borrowed the phone overnight or something. It was probably Gwen. Or maybe one of Adrian's aunts. Either way he could only imagine the gathering of viri frantically discussing the awful subject of Adrian and Colfax's message. Adrian's brow pinched slightly as he read the reply. It looked like things were just as tense as they'd predicted they would be.

“Well?” Charlie asked softly, taking a seat at the table surreptitiously as he and Sawyer shared a nervous glance. Their eyes inevitably wandered back to the viri, as if trying to glean information simply from their reactions. “What does it say?” The humans were practically as nervous to hear the response as Adrian and Colfax were, though admittedly it was a bit less personal to them. All the same, Sawyer could swear nobody was breathing as they waited for Adrian to reveal what the families had said in response to such a shocking message.

Adrian read through the message quickly. In a few places they'd neglected to even hide anything in code, they were in such a hurry to answer. He rubbed his eyes with his hands. He'd known this was coming, sure, but he had expected a little more time to prepare for it. Now they were all caught off guard. "Well, first of all, I'm not completely sure that Colfax's parents believe that he's actually healed up as well as we said," he began, almost sounding bemused. He could understand completely where they were coming from, which was almost funny. "They're kinda worried about us living with humans that actually know about us, but they seem like they're grateful for your help, I guess. Honestly probably no one knows what to even do with this."

Colfax had to agree. Even he hardly believed it sometimes; but he'd just spent the night being a teddy bear to a human (not that he would ever EVER tell anyone this). If that didn't cement the idea in his head, nothing would. He lived in the apartment as an actual roommate, not just a code name roommate. Colfax saw Adrian staring pensively at part of the message and had to ask, "What else?"

Adrian sighed and looked over to his fellow viri. "Mom wishes we could come back so they could all see us," he answered, almost sounding guilty. It would be such a long trip for them, of course. No one back home would be holding out for that to actually happen.

“Well… I mean you could, if you wanted to. Sawyer and I could help.” It was out of Charlie’s mouth before he realized exactly what he was saying. Of course, a long trip for a viri would be almost nothing for the humans, so if he and Sawyer were to lend the viri a hand (likely quite literally) then the trip home would be an entirely plausible one. There was a brief flash of anxiety as Charlie realized Adrian and Colfax’s families probably lived in somebody else’s home, which would mean he and Sawyer would be loitering awkwardly outside a stranger’s house trying not to be seen. All the same, he couldn’t keep from offering. It was much more important for the viri to see their families again, especially after such an ordeal.

Sawyer’s face lit up with excitement. “Yeah!” he enthusiastically agreed. “I don’t know how far away you guys used to live but we could probably make it there no problem! You could totally go visit.” He didn’t say it, but Sawyer was also eager to see the viri’s families for himself, even if it was just a glimpse. He would understand if they were too nervous about humans to really talk, even if said humans were nice and friendly, but all the same he was endlessly curious. After all, the only viri he’d ever seen were the two sitting on the table- and he really, really wanted to see Colfax’s little sister. He was certain she was too adorable for words, being so small.

It was like both viri froze for a moment. Even though the option had been sitting there, literally larger than life, neither of them had even considered how easy it would be for Charlie and Sawyer to get them back to where they used to live to see their families. Adrian mulled the idea over with more thought, seeing the clearly skeptical look on Colfax's face. No doubt the taller viri was concerned about secrecy. Adrian was, too, but... "I think... I think maybe we should think about doing that," he determined.

Colfax leveled a steady gaze at him, not at all surprised. "It's going to scare the shit out of them," he pointed out. They might as well be ghosts knocking on the doors back home. No doubt their families were torn up inside worrying over them, thinking there was no way the two of them could make it back anytime soon. Having them show up with humans after a story about what two humans had done would be more than stressful. Colfax glanced up at the humans. "No offense," he quipped.

Charlie laughed lightly, sheepishly, a tinge of embarrassment turning his face red. “None taken,” he said, though it came out a bit weaker than he wanted it to. He was simply so unused to thinking of himself as scary in any way; never in his life had it even been a possibility. It was still so disarming, though he didn’t want to bother the viri about it. After all, it wasn’t their fault that humans, any humans, would be seen as dangerous and frightening to a normal viri. Charlie understood, though it weighed on his heart a bit that even showing up at his friends’ old house might cause their poor families to have even more stress.

After giving Charlie a reassuring pat on the knee, making sure to do it below the table so the viri wouldn’t see, Sawyer added, “And you know, um, we could just drop you off or something. If you think it would be easier on everybody.” He for one wasn’t nearly as put off by potentially frightening people, as he was tall even for a human and had come across as almost aggressively friendly to some people before. This was a bit different, of course, but it made sense, so he wasn’t concerning himself about it. Sure, he and Charlie would love to talk with the viri’s families, but if they couldn’t without causing a huge mess then they’d be fine not doing so. Going home was for Adrian and Colfax, not them, so in the end it wasn’t their choice.

Colfax shrugged while he thought about it. There was a way it could be done that wouldn't cause too much trouble for their family while still enabling the humans to be somewhat nearby. He shared a glance with Adrian and knew well enough that his friend was thinking of the same place. "There is a spot you two could be that wouldn't count as loitering," Colfax admitted, wondering how their old humans would actually react to some random strangers lingering too close to their home. This took that concern out of the picture entirely.

"Oh, right," Adrian remembered. "There's a little park... area... thing, behind the house. A storm pipe goes right from the base of the house to it, my dad showed it to me once," he mused aloud. He smiled faintly, kind of nervous and glad at the same time that things could come together so easily. Maybe seeing his family again soon was a possibility! It would be just what they needed after everything.

Charlie and Sawyer shared a glance. “Well, that certainly does sound like a good option,” Charlie said, speaking for both of them. An option where they could be standing around awkwardly in a public space instead of on private property was much preferable- it would be less nerve-wracking and risky for all of them. He looked seriously at the two viri and added, “That is, if you think your families would be okay with it. We don’t want them having to go to greater lengths or feel like they’re in any kind of danger just so that we can hang around.” That wouldn’t be right. Not to mention they weren’t even sure whether or not Adrian and Colfax’s families would even be willing to talk to Charlie and Sawyer. For a moment, though he knew he couldn’t help it, Charlie felt guilty just for being human. It certainly complicated matters.

Adrian shrugged a little and rubbed his arm self-consciously. "I mean... even if they don't want to come out, and maybe some of them really really won't... I'm not moving back home," he answered. It was a visit, but he did plan to return to Charlie's eventually. And, seeing as the viri didn't exactly own cell phones of their own, they couldn't call the humans back at any time. They'd need them nearby just as a matter of safety when it was time to leave again. "Well, I mean, I don't plan to," he clarified, glancing up again. "I'd still like to live back in Charlie's apartment after all this, if I still can. I mean I know you guys have already gone to a lot of trouble, and now we're talking about having you take us all the way to our old home and stuff." He stopped himself after a bemused look from Colfax, obviously caught rambling.

Charlie gave Adrian a reassuring smile, almost comforted by his polite rambling. Trust Adrian to worry over something Charlie already considered to be a given. “Of course you can still live in my apartment, Adrian,” he told him. “Really, it hasn’t been that much trouble at all. Having you as a friend is much more important to us.” He glanced over at Sawyer who nodded certainly. It may have sounded a bit sappy, but it was true.

“’Sides,” Sawyer added, giving Adrian a grin. “Colfax and I would be lonely without you around.” He said it with certainty, knowing that there was no way Colfax was moving out of the apartment now. For one thing Sawyer couldn’t ethically let him, not unless it was to move back home or move in with Adrian over at Charlie’s. Too much had happened for him to let that happen with a clean conscious. Plus Colfax didn’t seem to want to move out, at all.

"Right," Adrian answered with a sheepish chuckle. He was glad for the reassurance, but all the same he was a bit embarrassed that he'd let himself ramble that much. "Well, I guess what we'll need is a lift to the uh, pipe thing. Then we can go in and visit, make sure everyone knows we're actually okay. And then we'll have, y'know, a way back here, if you guys are okay with sitting in the park."

Colfax rolled his eyes faintly at the thought that the two humans would actually leave. "Our very own taxicabs," he quipped. He had the strong suspicion that he knew what Sawyer was thinking; the taller human probably would insist against Colfax being out on his own after what happened. It wasn't a bad sentiment by any means; even if he'd die before admitting it, Colfax appreciated the thought. He wondered if any of their family members would be curious about the humans. Brigid, definitely.

Sawyer snorted at the taxi comment, though it was true, and even Charlie couldn’t help but laugh a little. “We don’t mind waiting in the park at all,” Charlie assured Adrian. Neither of them had been able to spend much time outside recently, for obvious reasons; a bit of fresh air would be nice. Really, it wasn’t like either of them was about to leave the viri stranded, even if it was at their old home.

After a beat of thoughtful silence Sawyer piped up with, “Do you think any of your family is going to actually want to talk to us?” He didn’t sound nervous about it, mostly curious. He knew what a big deal it was going to be for Adrian and Colfax, trying to convince their relatives that nice humans even existed, much less that they should go outside and talk to them. Still, he really would like to meet them, and he knew Charlie would love to formally apologize for things, because that’s just how his friend was. They both knew, however, that there was a distinct possibility they wouldn’t even see the viri’s families.

The viri paused, sharing a glance as they thought about it. There were probably plenty of anti-human sentiments back home that had only been reinforced by recent developments. Adrian sincerely doubted that his aunts would want to be anywhere near humans regardless of what happened. His uncle might be wary, too; but his mother, in spite of everything, might just want to see for herself the human that Adrian was trusting with his life. "Uh. Well. My mom might, if she doesn't faint as soon as we get there," he said with a quiet chuckle.

Colfax smirked faintly. "She won't faint," he argued, thinking that if anything she'd knock the breath out of Colfax when she hugged him tight enough for both of them- since she couldn't hug Adrian even now. "My parents wouldn't come," he determined fairly easily. They'd learned long ago to just trust Colfax in what he was doing; there was no convincing him otherwise, in any case. "Gwen... might want to."

The humans nodded along. Charlie thought he would like to meet Adrian’s mother, if only so that she could talk to the human her son would be living with. He knew if he were in her shoes he’d certainly want to do the same. Sawyer wasn’t nearly so concerned about not meeting Colfax’s parents, though he did get kind of excited that he might get to meet the little guy’s twin sister. He had a feeling she would be a lot of fun to talk to. Not to mention… “Don’t you have a little sister too, Colfax?” Sawyer asked. “Brigid, right? Would your parents let her come even if she wanted to?” He could definitely see them saying no, seeing as from what he’d heard she was still pretty young. All the same, Sawyer really wanted to see what a viri kiddo looked like. If even Colfax managed to be cute sometimes, Sawyer was sure his little sister was adorable all the time.

Colfax sighed faintly. "If Brigid wants to there's really not much stopping her," he answered. The girl was similar to him in stubbornness, at least. Though she was decidedly more personable than Colfax. That wasn't saying much, since everyone was more personable than Colfax was even on his good days.

Adrian smiled faintly. He actually could imagine the young girl following along behind Gwen, sticking close out of nerves until she knew for sure she was safe. Then, she'd basically have free rein to be the bubbly girl she usually was; being cooped up inside all the time had to get lonely for her, being the only viri her age around. "I don't know how many times she's been to the park but I'm sure she'd want to come along if she could manage it. She follows Gwen everywhere."

Sawyer smirked, thinking that Brigid definitely sounded like she was related to Colfax. Apparently that determined stubbornness was genetic. “It would be nice to meet her,” Charlie said with a small smile. “I look forward to meeting all your families.” He and Sawyer both did, he was sure. After all, it would be an interesting event despite the differences in species, but with it the entire affair sounded like quite the encounter.
A vist to the viri families is planned! :D How exciting!
